Some good WORD...

So the other day I was catching up on Annie's blog and she was talking about having a bittersweet Christmas.
Oh, the holiday's were wonderful, but when you're waiting for your child to get home... well bittersweet is the word.
I remember waiting for Jia around Christmas time and I would listen to Merry Christmas by Third Day over and over and over.... I know, I tortured myself!

Anyway, I am reading Jesus Calling this year and Sunday's devotional is definately one worth sharing.
Annie... and other waiting mom's, this ones for you!

January 9th
I AM WITH YOU AND FOR YOU.
When you decide on a course of action that is in line with My will, nothing in heaven or on earth can stop you.  You may encounter many obstacles as you move towad your goal, but don't be discouraged - never give up!  With My help, you can overcome any obstacle.  Do not expect an easy path as you journey hand in hand with Me, but do remember that I, your very-present Helper, am omnipotent.
Much, much stress results from your wanting to make things happen before their times have come.  One of the main ways I assert My sovereignty is in the timing of events.  If you want to stay close to Me and do things My way, ask Me to show you the path forward moment by moment.  Instead of dashing headlong toward your goal, let Me set the pace.  Slow down, and enjoy the journey in My Presence.

Romans 8:31  Psalm 46:1-3  Luke 1:37

And this verse is not listed in the devotional.  No, this one is just from me!  It was one I clung to for those many years of waiting!

For the vision is yet for an appointed time;
But at the end it will speak, and it will not lie.
Though it tarries, wait for it;
Because it will surely come,
It will not tarry.
Habakkuk 2:3

Hang in there momma's!

Joy, thank you so much for this! I am so glad I had time tonight to sit down and visit my favorite blogs and I came across your post! This encourages me in so many ways as I move slowly toward where God wants me! Not just in our adoption, but in my hopes for a future ministry for the needy. I will put the book down on my list as I am an avid reader! I also love the verse, for it was the first verse I used on my very first blog post!

You are a blessing and an inspiration to me!
